The Russian occupying forces continue to attack the positions of our military in Donetsk. Currently, the most challenging area is the Kurakhiv direction, where the enemy is resorting to mass assaults. Additionally, the invaders have intensified their activities in Toretsk and have achieved some success.

Analysts from DeepState reported on the advancement of the occupiers on the night of November 7. They noted that the Russians have succeeded near four settlements in the Kurakhiv direction. The enemy is attempting to stabilize the front and "close the pocket" that has formed. Furthermore, the Russians have advanced in Toretsk. Relevant data has been marked on the current combat map.

"The enemy has advanced near Novoleksiyivka, Kreminna Balka, Maksymivka, Bohoyavlenka, and in Toretsk," the report states.

Situation in the Kurakhiv Direction

The Russians are advancing across a front that stretches up to 65 km from Selydove to Velyka Novosilka and plan to encircle the Kurakhove area in Donetsk. The invaders are exploiting vulnerabilities in Ukrainian positions, which creates conditions for the capture of Pokrovsk. Moreover, Russian troops continue to carry out successful operations in other areas of the front, particularly south of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region and west of Svatove in Donetsk.

Regarding Kurakhove, the Russian army is actively storming the eastern part of the city through Maksymilianivka. Simultaneously, attempts to break through in the Ostrovskyi area and gain control of the northern part of the city persist. At the same time, the Russian army is approaching the Kurakhiv Reservoir from the southwest, from the direction of Vuhledar. Over the past two weeks, approximately 200 square kilometers of territory and five villages have been captured there.

Analysts anticipate a risk of encirclement of Ukrainian troops near Kurakhove, prompting command to seek ways to avoid catastrophe. Therefore, it is likely that a retreat of the Ukrainian forces in this direction may occur soon to preserve personnel.
