Thanks to a joint operation by law enforcement agencies in Ukraine, a series of terrorist attacks planned by Russian special services were prevented on March 3. Four individuals linked to sabotage and terrorist activities in various regions have already been charged. The organizers sought executors through the internet, offering "easy" money that could have ultimately cost Ukrainian lives. They now face sentences of up to 12 years or life imprisonment.
The National Police and Security Service (SBU) have uncovered a Russian sabotage network preparing for terrorist attacks and arson across the country, as stated in a law enforcement report. It is noted that the detainees operated in different regions of Ukraine, carrying out tasks assigned by their curators from Russia. The criminals organized arson, planned explosions, and gathered information for attacks on military personnel and law enforcement.
Vinnytsia Region. A man and a woman set fire to relay cabinets on the railway, for which they received money from Russian special services. Additionally, they recruited new executors by spreading advertisements online about "quick earnings" from sabotage activities. They are charged with treason and sabotage (Article 111, Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Chernihiv Region. An 18-year-old boy received instructions via messenger from his curators to create explosive devices for attacks on military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, police, and law enforcement. He also set fire to the CNAP building in Koryukivka using "Molotov cocktails" and sent a video report to his clients. He is charged with treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and intentional destruction of property (Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Kyiv Region. A 31-year-old agent of Russian special services received orders to eliminate a soldier from Bucha using a homemade explosive device. He conducted reconnaissance near the victim's home and prepared the explosives but was uncovered and detained. He is charged with preparing a terrorist act (Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The Security Service has arrested three men who were correcting missile strikes in three regions of Ukraine on behalf of Russia. They were spying on various military facilities, including airfields. Each of them now faces life imprisonment.
Additionally, SBU officers detained two informants of the Russian FSB in the Kharkiv region. They attempted to gather intelligence on the locations of the largest concentrations of personnel and military equipment of the Defense Forces in the region. After that, they leaked this information to the occupiers.
