Since the beginning of the Kursk operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have reported that by February 6, 2025, Russian military losses in the Kursk region have reached nearly 40,000 soldiers. More than 16,000 of these are classified as "two hundred." Additionally, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed a significant amount of enemy military equipment and captured 909 Russian servicemen.
These figures regarding military losses of the Russian Federation in Kursk were released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military noted that the Kursk operation compelled the Russians to redeploy their reserves from other fronts in Ukraine. Moreover, the Kremlin has found it necessary to reinforce their troops with soldiers from North Korea.
The General Staff added that approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers were deployed to Kursk. Of these, 4,000 North Korean soldiers have already been killed. In fact, one of the three brigades from North Korea has been completely destroyed, while the other two have lost their combat readiness. Consequently, this is why North Korean soldiers were withdrawn from the front line.
The military also stated that the net losses of the Russian Federation in Kursk amount to 39,900 soldiers, with 16,100 killed. The enemy's equipment losses are as follows:

On February 2, Ukrainian forces hit the central command post of the Russian army in the Kursk region. This information was disclosed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, dozens of enemy officers were eliminated there.
Additionally, in the Kursk region, the deputy governor of Primorye, Sergey Yefremov, was eliminated. The senior Russian official volunteered for the war and was the commander of the "Tiger" squad. Preliminary reports indicate that his vehicle was blown up by a mine. Yefremov did not survive.
