Trump's future envoy arrived in Paris and shared the stage with Tymoshenko.

Keith Kellogg, a representative of the team of elected U.S. President Donald Trump, made an unexpected visit to Paris to support the Iranian opposition. Earlier in January, he was expected to travel to Europe to discuss configurations for potential peace agreements, but the visit was postponed. He has not commented on Ukrainian issues yet, but he may have discussed them in private. Especially since Ukrainian MP Yulia Tymoshenko spoke on stage with him.

The future special representative of elected President Donald Trump for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, attended a conference of the Iranian opposition group, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Paris. At the Iranian opposition event, he stated that the world must return to a policy of maximum pressure on Iran to transform it into a more democratic nation.

"This pressure is not only kinetic, not just military force, but it must also be economic and diplomatic. There is an opportunity to change Iran for the better, but this opportunity will not last forever. We must take advantage of the weakness we are currently witnessing. There is hope, so there must also be action," said retired Lieutenant General Kellogg.

Trump promised to revert to the policy he pursued during his previous term, aimed at crippling Iran's economy to compel the country to negotiate regarding its nuclear programs, ballistic missile programs, and regional activities.

Interestingly, Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the "Fatherland" parliamentary faction, also spoke at the same conference, being introduced as a former prime minister, highlighting her status. Tymoshenko declared her support for the resistance in Iran's fight for a secular republic.

Kellogg is set to become Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. He was supposed to visit Europe earlier in January to discuss issues related to the war in Ukraine. However, he postponed his trip to European capitals until after Trump’s inauguration on January 20.

It is unclear whether he will use his trip to Paris to meet with French officials and discuss Ukraine. Neither the French presidential office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor Kellogg's team commented on these possibilities.

Peace Plan for Ukraine

Kellogg had previously mentioned that within 100 days after Trump's inauguration, agreements to end the war could be reached. He stated that Trump's team would work on the conditions for peace negotiations. He added that ending the war aligns with the strategic interests of the United States.

Some details of the peace plan that Kellogg may propose to Trump have already circulated in the media. It notes the freezing of the front lines in their current state and significant pressure on both Russia and Ukraine to agree to a negotiation process. Another important detail is considered to be Ukraine's refusal to join NATO in the decade ahead.
