In the Dniester district of the Chernivtsi region, police explosives experts discovered the warhead of a Russian X-101 missile that did not detonate. This occurred during an investigation of the debris zone from the downed enemy object. It was transported to a safe distance and neutralized.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region on December 7. It was noted that the unexploded warhead of the Russian X-101 missile was destroyed using a controlled detonation method. To avoid endangering people, it was taken as far away from populated areas as possible.
The department emphasized that after all procedures were completed, specialists examined the crater and confirmed the absence of dangerous missile parts. There is currently no threat to people.
The police once again urged Ukrainians not to touch missile fragments, shells, drones, or other explosive objects. This is dangerous and could jeopardize health or even life.
Russians are launching missile strikes on Ukraine daily. Only on the night of December 7, the occupiers fired an unspecified type of missile at the country, along with 14 "Shahed" kamikaze drones. The air defense forces managed to destroy 7 enemy UAVs, 6 more drones were lost in location, and one exited the controlled airspace towards Russia.
