The Russian Federation's army launched 83 Shahed drones and imitation drones against Ukraine during the night of Monday, March 3. Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy over forty enemy drones, with more than thirty lost in various locations. Ukrainian air defenders operated in seven regions.
Details regarding the destruction of enemy UAVs were reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military noted that as of 8:30 AM, they had neutralized 46 out of the 83 drones launched by the enemy across Ukraine. Additionally, 31 drones were lost in various locations.
The enemy's air assault was countered by mobile and anti-aircraft units. Electronic warfare units were also involved in repelling the attack. The air defense operated in seven regions of Ukraine: Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and Dnipropetrovsk. As a result of the drone attacks, there were damages in six regions, namely Kharkiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia.
This time, the enemy launched drones from several locations simultaneously. The drones attacked from Oryol, Kursk, Milleryovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
On the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, February 24, Russia launched 185 attack drones against Ukraine. Of these, 184 Shaheds did not reach their targets. The air defense shot down 113 of these UAVs.
On February 23, Russia launched a record 267 UAVs for an attack. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 138 Shaheds, while another 119 drones were lost in various locations. Three drones turned back to Belarus, and one to the Russian Federation.
