On the evening of March 1, around 7:30 PM, Russian forces struck a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia. The explosion ignited a fire in the structure. Efforts to mitigate the consequences of the attack are ongoing.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on Telegram. The day before, Fedorov had warned about the threat of kamikaze drones in the Zaporizhzhia region. He later reported on the operation of air defense forces but subsequently confirmed a hit on a residential building.
"The enemy struck a residential high-rise in Zaporizhzhia. A fire broke out as a result of the strike. Rescue and medical teams have been dispatched to the scene," the head of the Regional State Administration noted.
As of 8:18 PM, there had been no reports from the injured to medical personnel, but an ambulance crew is stationed at the site of the impact.

According to Fedorov, an enemy Shahed drone destroyed the roof of the residential building. A fire broke out over an area of 300 square meters.
