Russian occupiers attacked the Sumy region with Shahed drones on the night of Tuesday, February 4. Residential buildings and an educational institution were hit. There are reports of destruction and damage.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service (DSNS). It was noted that the enemy targeted the Sumy community.
As a result of the enemy attack, a fire broke out in one of the dacha cooperatives. One house was destroyed, while four others sustained damage. Rescuers have already extinguished the fires.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties," the report states.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration clarified that the enemy attacked with Shahed drones. A total of 14 drones were shot down over the region during the night, two of which fell with consequences, including on dacha houses in the Sumy community.
Another UAV fell in the territory of the Buryn community. The blast wave damaged over 30 windows in residential buildings and more than 20 in an educational institution. All necessary services are working, and the consequences of the enemy attack are being assessed.
Russian invaders attacked Sumy with kamikaze drones of the "Shahed" type on the night of January 30. One of the enemy drones hit a high-rise building. Nine people were killed, and 13 others were injured, including a child.
On January 13, Sumy was also attacked. An infrastructure facility in the city was hit. There was destruction. No people were found under the rubble in the damaged premises. On the night of January 26, Russia struck the city of Sumy with drones. As a result of two explosions, a building of one of the educational institutions, a multi-story residential building, and administrative buildings were damaged.
