The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that the war in Ukraine has not reached a deadlock. This is confirmed by the very successful offensive of the Russian army in eastern Ukraine, as the enemy has recently captured a significant amount of new territory. Therefore, the Russian offensive may have three scenarios, but will be based on pushing Ukrainian defense forces out of Kurakhove and Pokrovsk. According to the first scenario, the Russians will increase pressure on Velyka Novosilka. In the second, they will attack Andriivka and Kurakhove, and later Pokrovsk. In the third, the enemy will continue to develop success near Selydiv.
As of November 25, the Russians have completely occupied two more settlements - Katerynivka and Yuriyivka. On November 16, the enemy continued advancing in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, fully occupying Maksymivka in Donetsk Oblast.
On November 14, the RF army occupied Rivnopil in the Vremiv direction. The enemy is less than six kilometers away from encircling the Armed Forces of Ukraine south of Kurakhove. The Russians are advancing from the side of Daleky towards Uspenivka, leaving Ukrainian forces in a precarious position.
On November 10, the enemy improved positions in Toretsk and three other settlements in the Kurakhiv and Pokrovsk directions. On November 8, the Russians occupied Novooleksiyivka in the Pokrovsk district. The enemy is also actively advancing in eastern Ukraine.
