Alert in Ukraine: Russia has deployed drones to strike the northern regions.

On the evening of Monday, February 3, the Russian occupation army conducted an attack with strike drones on Ukrainian territory. The first drones were detected at 21:36 as they launched from the Sumy region, heading towards Chernihiv and Poltava regions. Throughout the night, particularly at 23:45, drones were spotted in northern Sumy, moving towards Chernihiv, as well as in the southwestern part of Sumy, where the drones were heading southwest.

According to the Air Forces, at 00:15 three Shaheds were moving from Poltava to Cherkasy, while two drones were in Chernihiv at that time. Six Shaheds were leaving Sumy, heading towards Poltava and Chernihiv.

In Kyiv region, an alert was sounded at 00:40. For residents of Kyiv, no alert was declared by 00:43. However, monitoring channels emphasized that this could happen at any moment. The movement of strike UAVs included:

• UAVs in the eastern part of Kyiv region, heading west.
• UAVs in the eastern part of Chernihiv region, heading west.
• UAVs on the border of Chernihiv and Poltava regions, heading southwest.
• UAVs in northern Poltava region, heading south.
• UAVs in northern Sumy region, heading west.
• UAVs in the northern part of Cherkasy region, heading southwest.

If an alert is declared, do not hesitate - head to the nearest shelter or find a safe place behind two walls. Your life is the most valuable asset, so do not neglect your safety.

In Kyiv, an alert was sounded at 01:06. Reports indicated 2 Shaheds heading towards Yahotyn, one Shahed heading towards Boryspil, another one moving past the reservoir towards Demydiv, and the last Shahed heading towards Voronkiv.

Attacks by Russian "Shaheds" and Their Consequences

Last night, in Kyiv region, debris from downed drones damaged a garage and a basement. In total, Russian forces attacked with 71 strike UAVs of the “Shahed” type and various types of imitation drones. Air defense forces shot down 38 of them in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Another 25 enemy imitation drones were lost locally.

On the night of February 2, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 55 strike UAVs of the “Shahed” type and imitation drones. Air defense forces shot down 40 of them in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions. Additionally, 13 enemy imitation drones were lost locally.

At the end of January, air defense forces shot down three drones over Dnipropetrovsk region. Additionally, an explosion was heard in Nikopol district. The aggressor dropped munitions from a drone in the Marhanets community. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries.
