The Russian invaders continue to advance in Donetsk with fierce battles. They have managed to achieve success near three settlements. Additionally, the occupiers have intensified their activities in the Kharkiv region, where they have also made progress.
On November 5, analysts from DeepState reported this and published an updated combat map. It is noted that the Russians have advanced near Hryhorivka, Yasna Polyana, and Bohoyavlenka in Donetsk. They have also managed to make a breakthrough near Pershotravneve in Kharkiv.
"The enemy has advanced near Hryhorivka, Pershotravneve, Bohoyavlenka, and Yasna Polyana," the report states.
Currently, the Kurakhiv direction is the most challenging. The Russians are attempting to create a cauldron here. Analysts claim that the risk of encirclement of Ukrainian troops is prompting the command to seek ways to avoid disaster. Therefore, it is likely that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have to retreat to preserve personnel.
It is known that the enemy is located approximately 2 kilometers from Kurakhove, leading to fiercer battles in the area. According to the acting press officer of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, Nazar Voytenkov, there are over 3,000 enemy soldiers opposing our defenders at this section of the front. Meanwhile, in the Pokrovsk direction, our military repelled 22 enemy assaults in the last day. Overall, this front line has been relatively calm in recent days.
In October, Russian troops captured a record amount of Ukrainian territory. This has allowed them to advance towards Kurakhove and Pokrovsk. Such a situation could pose a dangerous precedent for the defense of western Donbas and the potential movement of Russian troops to the borders of Dnipropetrovsk.
