In temporarily occupied Crimea, a Ukrainian drone may have struck the vessel "Fedir Uryupin." This ship was seized by the invaders following the illegal annexation of the peninsula. The attack occurred on the side of the ship in the bay near the village of Chornomorske.
This information was reported by the monitoring Telegram channel "Crimean Wind," citing a source. It is noted that the incident took place on Monday, December 23.
At around 5:00 PM, the drone collided with the side of the tugboat "Fedir Uryupin." The impact was above the waterline, and while the vessel did not sink, it sustained damage.
Ukraine has not officially confirmed the attack on the ship. Similarly, Russia remains silent about the damage to the vessel.
The tugboat "Fedir Uryupin" was built in 2010. It was captured by the Russians in 2014 during their occupation of Crimea.
"According to our source, it has not been used recently," the channel's message states.
According to the Marinetraffic database, "Fedir Uryupin" flies the Russian flag. However, the owner is listed as the Ukrainian state enterprise "Chornomornaftogaz."
Ukrainian forces have destroyed more than one enemy ship in Crimea, but there are now virtually no noteworthy targets left. Specifically, on June 6, Ukrainian military forces destroyed the occupiers' vessel - the raid tug "Saturn." The attack on the maritime target was carried out by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Overall, over more than two years of war, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have managed to destroy a third of the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. A total of 28 enemy ships or boats have been eliminated. Many Russian ships have sustained serious damage, and some vessels of certain projects will never be restored.
