On the night of Thursday, November 7, the Voronezh region of Russia was targeted by drones. Air defense systems were active in the area, and explosions were heard, which led to a fire. Preliminary reports indicate that there are no casualties among the Russians.
Local media outlets reported the attack. The governor of Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, also confirmed the strikes.
The Russian official had warned of the threat of a drone attack in the region as early as the evening of November 6. It was only around four in the morning that he announced the end of the air threat.
Initially, the governor stated that the Russian air defense allegedly shot down one UAV. Later, he announced that more than a dozen drones had attacked the Voronezh region.
"More than ten UAVs have been shot down in three districts of the region. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or destruction," he stated.
It was also loud in Voronezh itself. Around midnight, local residents reported a fire that occurred after an explosion.
On November 6, there was an attack using kamikaze drones on the Caspian Flotilla, which had been involved in shelling Ukraine. The attack was carried out by GUR drones. It is likely that two missile ships, "Tatarstan" and "Dagestan," were hit. Additionally, small missile ships of project 21631 may have sustained damage. For the first time, UAVs struck enemy ships in the Russian Federation in the Caspian Sea. The distance from the Ukrainian state border to the target is about 1500 kilometers.
On November 5, drones attacked the Russian city of Belgorod. One of the UAVs hit an apartment building in a neighborhood called "New Life," igniting several apartments. One Russian was injured.
On November 1, drones targeted an oil depot in the city of Svitlohrad, located in Stavropol Krai, Russia. Russians reported that a drone crashed into the oil terminal.
