The reasons for the power supply restrictions are currently unknown. On the previous day, February 3, the schedules were introduced due to network overloads and enemy shelling.

Are Power Outages Returning?

Ukrainian energy experts have widely warned that if air temperatures drop below -5 degrees, power outages will be unavoidable. According to meteorologists, severe frosts are expected to return to Ukraine starting February 5. In some areas, temperatures may fall to -16 degrees Celsius. This cold snap is expected to persist across the entire territory of Ukraine until February 10.

In "Ukrenergo," energy experts dispute these forecasts. They state that there are currently no predictions regarding power supply restrictions due to the cold weather and frosts. They also emphasize that the only reason for the forced implementation of outages remains the destruction of energy infrastructure due to Russian missile and drone attacks.
