In the coming days, there may be more explosions near the buildings of the TCC according to military commander Yevhen Karas. He emphasized that Russian special services will exert all their efforts to increase such incidents.
He shared this information on his Telegram channel. The military official pointed out that the Russians observe online how Ukrainians complain about the operations of the TCC.
According to him, explosions are expected to become more frequent in the next few days. Additionally, he ironically noted that Russian special services not only see the complaints of Ukrainians but also interpret them as a desire to fall into the hands of the enemy.
“Therefore, the FSB and GRU will direct all efforts towards your drug-addicted neighbors or a communist grandma to plant explosives somewhere with a camera. For $500. They won't pay, but trouble could arise,” – added Karas.
Meanwhile, the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, wrote on his Telegram channel that operations against Ukrainian military personnel, including those involving explosions at the TCC, are overseen by Russian special services, specifically the GRU and FSB.
“At the same time, there is an intensification of the media campaign, which has been ongoing since 2022, but especially significant efforts to undermine mobilization and infiltrate the media sector (bloggers, bots, social networks) have been made by the Russians since 2024,” – noted Kovalenko.
On the eve of February 1, an explosion occurred at the Rivne regional TCC. The National Police reported that one person was killed in the explosion, and six others were injured. Windows were shattered, and the facade was damaged.
On Saturday, a serviceman from the Poltava TCC was killed at a gas station in Pyriatyn: a man in a gray balaclava and pixelated pants approached him with a hunting rifle, demanding he hand over his weapon. After receiving a refusal, the assailant shot the serviceman, took his automatic weapon, and fled along with one mobilized man. The deceased serviceman from the TCC left behind a wife, children, and parents.
Additionally, in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region, a new explosion occurred near the TCC on the evening of February 2. This was reported by the regional police.
