The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced a scheduled meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to take place on Tuesday, February 4. He did not provide any further details. However, according to Informator, the main topic of the NSDC meeting will be attacks on representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Centers.
During his traditional evening address, the head of state noted that on February 3, he met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, to discuss the modernization of the Ukrainian army. According to Zelensky, the key issue was the appointment of corps commanders – the positions should be filled by the best officers with combat experience and modern strategic thinking. The President emphasized the importance of updating approaches in military leadership and stressed that the army must not only respond to contemporary challenges but also prioritize the value of human life.
"I have scheduled an NSDC meeting for tomorrow. Glory to Ukraine!" – Zelensky briefly stated.
It is evident that appropriate decisions will be made at the NSDC meeting. It is clear that Russian special services are attempting to provoke mass unrest and undermine trust in mobilization structures. The situation has escalated following a series of attacks on TCC representatives:
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, condemned these attacks, emphasizing that violence against service members is unacceptable. He assured that all such incidents will be investigated and those responsible will be punished.
