Ukrainian forces have regained positions near Pokrovsk, but occupiers have advanced in four regions, including Kursk, according to ISW maps.

As of October 31, Russian occupiers have made new advances on the front lines. The enemy has seized new positions to the east of Kupiansk in the Luhansk region, southeast of Chasiv Yar, in the direction of Pokrovsk and Kurakhove, as well as along the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, and in the Kursk area. Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have also achieved progress near Pokrovsk.

As of October 31, Russian occupiers have made new advances on the front lines. The enemy has seized new positions to the east of Kupiansk in the Luhansk region, southeast of Chasiv Yar, in the direction of Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, along the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, and in Kursk. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have also made gains in the Pokrovsk area.

This is stated in the report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Analysts presented maps of the battles from the previous day, October 30.

Fighting in the Kursk region

Russian forces have recently advanced in the Kursk region amid ongoing battles. Geolocated footage published on October 29 indicates that the Russians have recently moved into the central part of Novoiivankivka (southeast of Korenove).

Fighting in the Kharkiv region

Russian troops continued limited offensive operations around Lyptsy and Vovchansk but did not make any progress.

Fighting in the Luhansk region

Occupiers have recently advanced east of Kupiansk and west of Kreminna amid ongoing offensive operations along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line. Geolocated footage published on October 30 shows that Russian forces have recently moved south of Steppova Novoselivka (east of Kupiansk) and north of Terniv (west of Kreminna).

Fighting in the Donetsk region

Occupiers have recently advanced southeast of Chasiv Yar amid offensive operations on October 29 and 30. Geolocated footage published on October 29 shows that Russian units have recently advanced along the T0504 Bakhmut-Kostyantynivka highway southeast of Chasiv Yar.

Russian forces continue to attack across the Siverskyi Donets canal with small infantry groups of two to three soldiers. However, they are unable to establish positions across the canal due to strikes from Ukrainian artillery and drones.

Both Russian and Ukrainian troops have recently advanced towards Pokrovsk amid ongoing offensive operations in the area on October 30. Geolocated footage published on October 30 shows that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have regained positions northeast of Novohrodivka that were captured by Russian troops on a previous date. Additional geolocated footage published on October 30 indicates that the Russians have recently advanced southeast of Promin (east of Pokrovsk). Geolocated footage from October 29 shows that Russian troops advanced within and northwest of Selydove, and Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets stated on October 30 that Russian forces captured the settlement.

Russian forces have recently advanced towards Kurakhove. Geolocated footage published on October 30 reveals that the occupiers have recently moved southwest of Hirnyk (northeast of Kurakhove) and in the area of the Kurakhiv Central Processing Plant west of Kurakhivka (northeast of Kurakhove). Additional geolocated footage from October 29 shows Ukrainian forces repelling a reinforced mechanized attack from a Russian platoon, indicating that Russian troops have recently advanced to eastern Kurakhove.

Russian forces continued offensive operations in the area of Vuhledar on October 30. However, they did not achieve any confirmed successes.

Reports indicate that Russian troops have recently advanced in the border area between Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. A representative of Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces, Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, reported on October 29 that Russian troops had recently made slight advances in the vicinity of Levadne (southwest of Velyka Novosilka).

Fighting in the south

Russian sources on October 29 and 30 stated that fighting continues in the Robotyne area.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces continued ground attacks in the Dnipro direction, likely referring to the left bank of the Kherson region and the islands in the Dnipro delta on October 29 and 30.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there were 145 combat engagements on the front over the past day, October 30. The most intense situation was in the Kurakhiv direction, where the enemy launched 48 assaults. The adversary was also active in the Kurakhiv direction, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 41 attacks near Novoselidivka, Novodmytrivka, Illinka, Maksymilianivka, Hostre, Yelyzavetivka, Dalniy, Antonivka, Kurakhivka, Kreminna Balka, Voznesenka, and Katerynivka.

The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk direction, where our defenders halted 28 assaults. In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked once in the area of Chasiv Yar. In the Kupiansk direction, there were 21 attacks by the occupiers over the day.

On October 30, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck one command post, two air defense systems, one artillery piece at a firing position, two field ammunition depots, three areas of troop and military equipment concentration, as well as four radar stations of the Russian invaders. In total, over the past day, Russian invaders' losses amounted to 1,310 personnel.
