According to diplomats, although Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga has requested such an invitation from his NATO counterparts, the chances of reaching a consensus among the 32 alliance members currently appear very low.

Ukraine had hoped that this invitation would be a significant step in its struggle against Russia, as one of the main reasons for the Kremlin's war is to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO. However, diplomats note that achieving the necessary agreement among alliance members may take considerable time.

The NATO foreign ministers' meeting is expected to focus on further support for Ukraine, particularly aimed at strengthening its position in upcoming negotiations that may commence next year.
