In the city of Boryspil, Kyiv region, a 41-year-old man called the "102" hotline and summoned law enforcement because he "really wanted to have tea with the police." This was reported by the patrol police of the city.
"Recently, we received a call that turned out to be false. The caller contacted line 102 reporting a suicide attempt. The patrol crew promptly headed to the address provided by the caller. However, upon arrival, they found out that the 41-year-old man was feeling sad and really wanted to have tea with the police, which is why he made the false call," the statement said.
Law enforcement officials urged the public to be responsible and to call emergency services only when necessary. The patrol police noted that they check every call, and due to this false report, they may not be able to assist those who truly need help.
"We remind you that Article 183 (Knowingly false call to emergency services) of the Code of Administrative Offenses provides for administrative liability in the form of a fine ranging from 850 to 3,400 hryvnias," the patrol police added.
It is worth mentioning that a resident of one of the districts in Los Angeles (USA) heard strange noises under her house for several weeks, which intensified at night. The police discovered a remarkable find that surprised everyone.
Also, in the American state of Wisconsin, a 45-year-old man fled from his wife and three children to his mistress, faking his own death. However, the police managed to unravel the case.
