In total, the following regions made it into the top five most "artillery-threatened" areas:

  • Dnipropetrovsk region — 18,948 times;
  • Kharkiv region — 8,151 times;

It is worth noting that on New Year's Eve, Russian forces launched 111 strike drones at Ukraine. Air defense managed to destroy 63 of them. Additionally, 46 of the drones were decoys, while two UAVs headed towards Russia and Belarus.

The strike by a "Shahed" on January 1 against a residential building in the central Pechersk district and the damage to the National Bank building outraged MP Maryana Bezuhla. She used this incident to intensify criticism towards the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and reminded that, according to her information, many members of the air defense units were forced to become infantry. She stated that there is still no layered air defense system around Kyiv.
