The Dnipropetrovsk region has become the first in Ukraine in terms of reported threats of artillery shelling. Over the past year, there have been 18,948 instances of artillery threat from Russian occupiers in the region. Additionally, the region has declared 4,662 air raid alerts, which lasted a total of 4,041 hours.
This information is reported by Informator.Dnipro, referencing data from the air-alarms service and the Dnipro City Council. All air raid alerts declared throughout the region or in specific areas from January 1 to December 30, 2024, have been taken into account in these calculations.

It is worth noting that on New Year's Eve, Russian forces launched 111 strike drones at Ukraine. Air defense managed to destroy 63 of them. Additionally, 46 of the drones were decoys, while two UAVs headed towards Russia and Belarus.
The strike by a "Shahed" on January 1 against a residential building in the central Pechersk district and the damage to the National Bank building outraged MP Maryana Bezuhla. She used this incident to intensify criticism towards the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and reminded that, according to her information, many members of the air defense units were forced to become infantry. She stated that there is still no layered air defense system around Kyiv.
