Russia was attacked by drones on the night of Thursday, November 28. Explosions were heard in the Krasnodar Krai, as well as in the Bryansk and Rostov regions, and in occupied Crimea. Russian officials claim that their air defense allegedly destroyed 25 drones.
According to the self-proclaimed governor of the Rostov region, Yuriy Slyusar, drones targeted Taganrog and Kamenskoye in the region. He assures that there were supposedly no casualties or damage on the ground.
Russians also report hearing "cotton" in the Bryansk region, claiming that air defense supposedly shot down six drones there.
The Krasnodar Krai suffered significant impacts. Explosions were reported in Slavyansk-on-Kuban and the Chigryina farm.
As a result, in Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar Krai, part of Proletarskaya Street was closed off following the drone attack, where drone debris was found.
In the Chigryina farm, according to the local district administration, windows, doors, and a gas pipe were damaged in one of the houses. However, local media report that two private houses were affected.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the nighttime drone attack. The Russian agency traditionally stated that it allegedly repelled airstrikes, destroying 25 drones:
In Kaluga, Russia, on the night of November 25, drones attacked an oil depot and the "Typhoon" factory, which is part of the Russian military-industrial complex. Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Central Public Defense, explained that "Typhoon" received cotton because its profile is the development and production of radio-electronic equipment. The factory produces communication systems, radio-electronic reconnaissance, and radar equipment. The enterprise also manufactures components for optoelectronic observation and guidance systems installed on combat vehicles.
On the night of November 21, explosions were also heard in the Rostov region, and air defense was active. In Volgograd, a "Carpet" plan was implemented, and the airport was closed.
On November 20, drones attacked several regions of the Russian Federation. In particular, "cotton" was recorded in the Belgorod, Novgorod, and Samara regions. The 13th GRAU arsenal was attacked, where missiles such as "Iskander" and KN23 are stored, as well as a factory producing cargo drones, a command post, and an oil depot.
It should be noted that according to sources from several Ukrainian media, on the night of November 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck Russian territory for the first time with ATACMS missiles. This likely refers to a strike in the Bryansk region. Officially, Russia stated that Ukraine hit the region with six ATACMS missiles.
