Where to buy a "live" Christmas tree in Kyiv without contributing to illegal logging: a list of markets.

Starting from December 5, Kiev will host official Christmas tree fairs. This was announced on November 28 by the Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development of the KCCA.

The fairs will gradually open for those wishing to purchase a real Christmas tree for the holidays. Residents of the capital will have the opportunity to choose from New Year trees grown on special plantations of forestry enterprises.

“By buying a tree at an official venue, you not only receive a quality product but also contribute to the development of the city, as the taxes paid go into the city budget. We invite the people of Kiev to visit the official fairs and select a festive tree that will fill your home with joy and warmth during the New Year season,” stated the department director, Vladimir Kostikov.

He explained that purchasing such trees is important not only for transparency in the process but also for preserving nature and combating illegal logging.
