A mother of six children has evaded child support payments. She has not made any payments from June 2018 to November 2024, accumulating a debt of 565,006 hryvnias. This information is detailed in the ruling of the Kegychiv District Court of Kharkiv Oblast, published on December 19, 2024.
The woman was deprived of parental rights in January 2019. She was required to provide child support for her six children. Payments were mandated starting from June 2018.
"The accused was deprived of parental rights with respect to: three sons and three daughters based on the decision of the Sakhnovshchyna District Court of Kharkiv Oblast dated January 29, 2019, in case No. 634/562/18, and was ordered to pay child support for the maintenance of the aforementioned children in the amount of 1/2 of all types of earnings, but not less than 50% of the minimum subsistence level for a child of the corresponding age, starting from June 11, 2018," - stated in the case materials.
From June 2018 to November 2024, the woman made no payments. The arrears for child support amount to 565,006 hryvnias. Her actions were classified under part 1 of Article 164 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, specifically as willful evasion of payments established by a court decision for child maintenance (alimony). During the pre-trial investigation, the citizen unconditionally admitted her guilt and expressed remorse.
The court found the woman guilty of committing a criminal offense (misdemeanor) as provided in part 1 of Article 164 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She was sentenced to community service for a duration of 120 hours.
