The Kursk direction, where The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an offensive, became the hottest spot on January 5. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 42 combat encounters in the Kursk region, 12 of which are still ongoing. In total, there have been 114 combat encounters on the front since the start of the day.
This information is stated in the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that, in addition to the Kursk direction, hostilities are actively taking place in several other sections of the front.
On the afternoon of January 2, Russian media began to report extensively about a significant strike in the Kursk region of the RF. The AFU struck a gathering of occupiers from the 810th separate brigade of the marine corps for the second time. This time the strike occurred in the village of Ivanivske, located in the Rylsk district. Preliminary reports indicate significant losses for the enemy.
