"Наконец-то достигли": новая категория украинцев получит отсрочку от мобилизации, — сообщил народный депутат.

The Verkhovna Rada has approved bill No. 12104, granting deferment rights to civilians who have been captured. This was reported on November 20 by MP from "European Solidarity," Oleksiy Honcharenko.

304 parliamentarians voted "for" the bill. The author of the legislation is MP Iryna Friz, with Honcharenko as a co-author.

"We have long fought for those who have been captured to have the same right to deferment from service as currently applies to prisoners of war. Because it is fair! And we have finally achieved this," the MP noted.

He also reported that the bill simplifies the process for granting deferment from mobilization to those whose close relatives are missing. This right will be available not only to the relatives of those recognized as missing under special circumstances but also to those who have been declared "missing" through court proceedings.

"Relatives will not have to undergo complicated legal processes; it will be sufficient to provide documents from the Unified Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances or a court decision," Honcharenko clarified.

Additionally, the Rada supported bill No. 11531, which grants the right to resign from service to half-siblings of fallen or missing defenders. 308 parliamentarians voted "for."

"This is my bill. I have long sought its passage! In the summer, the parliament voted on another bill of mine providing deferment for relatives whose half-brothers or sisters died or went missing in the war. Now I have achieved this exemption," the MP added.

It should be noted that on November 19, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Verkhovna Rada and presented the "Stability Plan" consisting of 10 points.

Also on November 19, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed bill No. 11407. Now the military will be able to independently decide who will receive payments if they go missing or are captured.
