Обязательная ВВК до 4 февраля: что ждет тех, кто не пройдет обследование?

Those who previously held the status of being partially fit for service have less than a month left to undergo a re-examination by the military medical commission (VVK). Based on the results, medical professionals will classify them as either fit or unfit. On January 7, NV explained what will happen to those who ignore this requirement.

VVK Regulations: Who Needs to Undergo a Medical Examination

On May 4, 2024, a law came into effect that effectively abolished the status of partial fitness. The relevant category of military personnel has been given a clearly defined period to undergo a medical examination again. This period is 9 months, meaning the final day is February 4, 2025.

Men need to pass the VVK to obtain one of the currently valid statuses. Those who are already serving in the army and hold a partially fit status must also undergo a medical examination again.

VVK Regulations: Consequences of Refusal

Undergoing the VVK is a duty of military personnel, and failure to comply can result in penalties. In case of refusal, Ukrainians may face legal consequences under articles 210 and 210-1, which pertain to violations of military registration rules and mobilization regulations.

If a military personnel receives a referral for a medical examination and ignores it, they will also face penalties under these articles. Additionally, it is not possible to appeal the summons in court, as it merely serves as a call to the Territorial Center for Recruitment (TCK).

A man who has been classified as partially fit can only be held accountable if he received a referral for the VVK but failed to show up. Without a referral, Ukrainians cannot undergo the examination, and the medical commission lacks the authority to make conclusions without the appropriate document from the military enlistment office.

If a referral was indeed received, depending on the circumstances and reasons for the absence, the violator may be subject to administrative or criminal liability.
