The occupying authorities of Mariupol are cutting off residential buildings from heating and electricity supply to declare these premises as emergency and "nationalize" them. This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.
"In temporarily occupied Mariupol, with the onset of the heating season, local collaborators are disconnecting entire buildings from electricity and heating networks, as well as water supply, under the pretext that the housing is in an emergency state," the message states.
The Center for National Resistance noted that the occupiers are not deterred by the fact that people live in high-rise buildings.
In particular, this has happened to the residents of the building located at Mezhovaya St., 26.
"Subsequently, following a well-established scheme, the property will be 'nationalized' or recognized as emergency, people will be evicted, demolished, and something will be built in its place for their needs," explained the CNS.
They emphasized that no one is in a hurry to provide alternative housing for people under occupation.
Additionally, representatives of the Center for National Resistance are aware of cases where new housing in temporarily occupied Mariupol is given to migrant workers from Central Asia.
"Due to their criminal appetite for other people's property, Russians have begun to deprive Ukrainians of basic living conditions just to appropriate their housing," noted the CNS.
Recall that on November 14, Mariupol Mayor Vadim Boychenko reported that 30% of Mariupol residents have returned to the occupied city.
On November 6, the Mariupol City Council reported that the occupiers are repurposing a temple in the city, which entered the Ukrainian Book of Records.
