"Provoked into conflict": The military's altercation with a lawyer in Kharkiv has been addressed by the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

On January 9, a video circulated on social media showing a lawyer attempting to meet with her client during a military medical commission at a hospital, only to be forcibly pushed out by a staff member of the Kharkiv Territorial Recruitment Center (TCK). The territorial center stated that the woman was acting provocatively; however, they condemned the soldier's actions and initiated an internal investigation. This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Recruitment Center and Social Support.

The TCK press service claims that at one of the medical institutions in Kharkiv, the lawyer of the conscript "interfered" with the work of the military medical commission and provoked a conflict.

"Preliminary findings indicate that the conflict was triggered by the behavior of a citizen who identified herself as the lawyer for the conscript. Her aggressive demeanor and attempts to provoke a conflict hindered the work of the military medical commission. To resolve the situation, the soldier pushed the citizen out of the service area," the TCK stated.

The statement also notes that the command of the Kharkiv TCK and Social Support "condemns the actions of the serviceman who succumbed to the provocations." They assure that organizational and disciplinary measures will be taken based on the results of the internal investigation.

"Additionally, the command and personnel of the regional and district TCK and Social Support are providing all necessary assistance to law enforcement agencies, which are investigating all circumstances of the conflict," the press service reported.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region also commented on the incident. They noted that a 28-year-old lawyer approached them with a statement regarding the conflict with a TCK representative, and law enforcement is currently establishing the circumstances of the conflict.

Recall that on January 9, a video also emerged from Zaporizhzhia, where, according to eyewitnesses, bystanders prevented the TCK from mobilizing a man.

On January 9, Natalia Kindraty, an officer with the Communications Department of the Ground Forces Command, reported that since 2022, Ukraine has issued search warrants for 500 thousand conscripted men.
