"Three minibuses arrived": In Transcarpathia, high school staff clashed with students' parents (video)

In the town of Svalyava, located in the Transcarpathian region, a fight broke out between the parents of students from a vocational construction college and the teachers. This was reported by the local publication "Mtskashevo.net".

The altercation stemmed from a conflict among the students. One of them insulted some girls, prompting another student to defend them, which led to a quarrel between the two. Subsequently, the parents of the offending student arrived at the scene upon his request, accompanied by a group of supporters, and the teachers intervened on behalf of the other boy. Preliminary information indicates that three staff members of the college sustained minor injuries.

What the Teachers of Svalyava Vocational Construction College Say

According to the teachers at Svalyava Vocational Construction College, they were attacked by a group of individuals of Roma nationality who arrived at the institution in minibuses and assaulted one of the students, as well as the educators who defended him.

"Initially, one of the college students came to the girls' defense because another student of Roma nationality was humiliating them, leading to a conflict. Afterward, that student called his father, who came and beat up the student who defended the girls. Subsequently, three more minibuses filled with Roma arrived and assaulted the college staff, breaking windows in the establishment. One female teacher suffered a concussion, while another sustained injuries and bruises. They even found the mother of the student who defended the girls and pulled her hair," said one of the teachers.

What the Police Have to Say

The police in the Transcarpathian region reported that three staff members of the college were injured as a result of the conflict. They are undergoing forensic medical examinations. Minor injuries have been diagnosed in the three college employees.

The police have initiated a criminal case under part 2 of Article 296 "Hooliganism". The article carries a penalty of up to five years of restriction of freedom or up to four years of imprisonment. Investigative actions are ongoing.

Recall that earlier in Volyn, locals clashed with IDPs over Russian pop music. Eyewitnesses claim that neighbors repeatedly asked to change the music and stop the noise, but the new residents ignored all requests. This led to a verbal altercation escalating into a fight.
