On the night of January 9 to 10, Russian occupation forces launched strike drones over Ukraine, with one of the "Shaheds" crashing into a high-rise building in Kyiv. This was reported by Timur Tkachенко, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"In the Solomianskyi district, debris from the enemy UAV was recorded hitting a high-rise building," Tkachенко wrote.
He clarified that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
"Windows were damaged, and 6 cars were affected. Emergency services are on-site," Tkachенко noted.
Meanwhile, the Telegram channel "Trukha Kyiv" published photos of the damaged building.
"Animals were trapped on the upper floor," reads the caption to the photo.
Additionally, social media shared images showing the state of the area around the building after the drone strike.
Prior to this, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that a hostile "Shahed" had entered south of Kyiv.
Recall that on January 8, Russian forces attacked the industrial infrastructure of the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs and ballistic missiles.
