Russia has warned the United States ahead of the launch of its new medium-range ballistic missile, stated Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Thursday, according to CNN, reported by UNN.

At the same time, unnamed sources told Reuters that the U.S. had been previously notified of a ballistic missile strike on Ukraine "through channels for reducing the risk of nuclear conflict."
He added that in recent days, the United States informed Ukraine and other close allies that Moscow might launch an experimental medium-range ballistic missile.
Meanwhile, U.S. officials believe that this "experimental missile" is unlikely to significantly alter the situation in the war in Ukraine, and Russia probably possesses only a limited number of such systems.
