Russia strikes Ukraine with cruise and ballistic missiles, causing explosions in two cities.

According to monitoring channels, six Tu-95MS aircraft launched cruise missiles towards Ukraine in two separate waves. Additionally, there was a threat of using Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles due to the increased activity of MiG-31K fighter jets.

At 05:04 AM on November 21, an air alert was declared across Ukraine due to the potential threat of missile attacks. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the risk of missile weapon use following the takeoff of the MiG-31K.

At 05:19, it became known about a fast-moving target heading towards Dnipro from the east. Subsequently, media reported several explosions in Dnipro. Local channels indicated that a fire broke out in one of the city's districts following the explosion.

Monitoring channels reported that at 05:30, launches of X-101 cruise missiles occurred from the Saratov region. The launches took place in two waves from the Saratov region of the Russian Federation. They were expected near the Ukrainian state border starting from 06:20.

Additionally, as of 06:00 on November 21, 2024, there were 24 enemy ships in the Black Sea, of which 5 were carriers of "Kalibr" cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to 28 missiles. This was reported by the General Staff of Ukraine.

By 06:34, all 6 Tu-95MS aircraft had landed at the airfields "Engels" and "Privolzhsky" in the Saratov and Astrakhan regions of the Russian Federation, respectively. Also, 2 MiG-31K landed at the "Savasleyka" airfield. However, the country continued to face a preventive threat of cruise missiles and ballistic threats.

At 06:39, it became known that the first X-101/555 missiles entered the airspace of Ukraine through the Chernihiv region. They passed through the Nizhyn district towards the Poltava region.

Subsequently, it was reported that the cruise missiles changed course towards the Kyiv region.

At 06:51, monitoring groups reported that the missiles began to maneuver. It was noted that they were heading towards the Poltava region, specifically towards/through Lubny. At 06:57, the missiles altered their course towards the Sumy region, and subsequently towards the Kharkiv region.

At 07:00, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported two missiles targeting Myrhorod. Later, at 07:10, monitoring channels reported three groups of cruise missiles from Poltava and Kremenchuk heading towards Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region. Subsequently, explosions were heard in Kremenchuk. At 07:10, explosions were also audible in Dnipro.

Let us remind you that on November 20, Ukrainians were anticipating a massive attack from the Russian Armed Forces. The Central Intelligence Directorate reported on Russia's preparations for a series of attacks, with the enemy accumulating missiles for this purpose for months. On November 20, embassies in Ukraine began to close due to the threat of shelling. It was known that four diplomatic missions had been closed.
