Russian forces launched a triple strike on the outskirts of Chernihiv on the evening of January 3. There are significant destructions, with casualties reported. Search operations are ongoing.
This was announced by the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus. He emphasized that the enemy executed a triple missile strike on residential areas in the outskirts of Chernihiv.
"Significant destruction of several houses," the report states.
Currently, one fatality has been confirmed. Additionally, there are four injured individuals. Search and rescue operations continue at the impact sites.
Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, the head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, clarified that as a result of the missile attack, two residential buildings were partially destroyed. Windows of seven residential buildings were also damaged.
At around 5:00 PM on January 3, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with missiles. Explosions were heard in Chernihiv and Sumy.
According to monitoring channels, all ballistic missiles launched by the Russian Federation hit Chernihiv region. Initially, three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles were reportedly used.
