The occupiers launched a massive kamikaze drone attack with "Shahed" type drones on Ukraine during the night of November 26. Explosions were reported in Ternopil, leaving parts of the city without power. There are also issues with water supply.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the enemy attack, indicating that several hostile drones were heading towards the city. Almost immediately after, there were reports of explosions. As stated by the head of the OVA, Vyacheslav Negoda, there were hits in Ternopil, but he did not provide further details.
"We are working to determine the extent of the damage and to mitigate the consequences," the message stated.
Meanwhile, residents of the city reported in Telegram channels about power outages in several districts, as well as parts of the city being without water. Currently, air raid alerts continue in Ternopil, and the threat of an enemy air attack remains. Therefore, residents should adhere to safety rules and stay in shelters until the all-clear.
The invaders launched about fifty "Shaheds" at Ukraine, as reported by the Air Defense Forces and monitoring channels on the evening of November 25. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, where air defense systems targeted enemy positions. No information on the consequences of the attack is available yet.
It is worth noting that the Russians attack Ukraine nightly with strike drones and launch missiles and bombs. On August 20, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the occupiers have fired nearly 14,000 strike UAVs and 9,600 missiles at Ukraine, while air defense forces have destroyed approximately 9,300 drones and over 2,400 missiles.
Only in October 2024, Russian occupiers used 2023 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and unspecified types of drones against civilian and military targets in Ukraine. Primarily, the enemy drones targeted civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
In the past day, the enemy launched 145 drones at Ukraine, with air defense forces neutralizing 142 of them. Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack. Explosions were also heard in Kyiv. The Kyiv City Military Administration announced a fire in a residential building due to falling debris, but later acknowledged that this report was a mistake.
