Russians destroyed the Pokrovsk stele, while authorities allocated millions for media

The Russian army, on January 2, damaged the yellow-blue stele at the entrance to Pokrovsk as a result of an attack with cluster munitions. The powerful explosion caused the structure to collapse, and the letter "P" flew off into the road. It was taken by serviceman Pavlo Vyshybaba to be stored in a war museum.

The authorities of Pokrovsk have planned a number of questionable expenditures for 2025. Some budget items are shocking: while the Russians are approaching the city daily and are already within 2-3 kilometers, local officials have decided to spend nearly 15 million hryvnias to support the media, and another 34 million are intended for improvements. Such expenses resemble a banquet during a plague.
