In Ukraine, 12 lawyers provided consultations to men on how to evade mobilization and assisted in forging documents for leaving the country. The Security Service of Ukraine reported them as suspects and initiated 11 criminal proceedings. This information was disclosed by the SBU in response to inquiries from the journalists of "Slidstvo.Info".
It is reported that the SBU is investigating 11 instances of violations of mobilization laws involving 12 lawyers. The attorneys are suspected of aiding Ukrainians in avoiding mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and forging documents so that draft evaders could leave the country.
The suspects not only counseled men and those mobilized but also committed offenses themselves, according to the SBU. They have been informed of suspicions regarding document forgery, illegal transportation of citizens across the state border, and abuse of influence.
To achieve this, the lawyers established connections with representatives of military medical commissions, medical and social expert commissions, and territorial recruitment and social support centers.
"As the investigation established, some of these lawyers entered into a criminal conspiracy with representatives of the VVK, MSEC, and TCK to unlawfully issue forged conclusions about unfitness for service, disability status, etc.," said the SBU.
Recall that on November 27, people's deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, Ruslan Gorbenko, stated that soon in Ukraine rectors will be imprisoned, like heads of MSEC. This was his reaction to the information from the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Mikhail Vinitsky, regarding the expulsion of 23,500 male students aged 30+ who enrolled in universities solely to avoid mobilization.
