The "Atlas" oil depot is a crucial component of the Russian military-industrial complex, supplying petroleum products for the needs of the Russian army. As part of the operation, the Armed Forces also destroyed a radar station of the Buk-M3 missile system in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. The successful operation was executed by units of the Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems.
According to Russian media, the oil depot near the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky was attacked by drones. Russian authorities claimed to have allegedly neutralized 30 drones using electronic warfare means.
Earlier, on August 28, this facility was already under attack. Following a drone incursion, a large fire erupted at the oil depot, engulfing the oil storage tanks. Local sources also reported two explosions at the site. At that time, firefighting efforts at the depot lasted for a week.
Moreover, Ukrainian forces continue to actively destroy Russian military facilities. In particular, reconnaissance units destroyed the radar complex "ZooPark", valued at over 1 billion hryvnias. Additionally, in the occupied town of Rovenky in Luhansk, an oil depot was on fire after explosions.
