The Russian invaders are advancing in three directions in the Donetsk region, and have also intensified their activities in Kharkiv. They attempted to seize the city of Kupiansk, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) did not give them even a chance to establish a foothold there. The situation in Donetsk, however, is not as optimistic.
According to analysts from DeepState, as of November 25, the Russians have made progress in the Kurakhiv, Pokrovsk, and Vremivka directions. Overall, they have succeeded in six settlements within the region. The most challenging situation is in Kurakhove, where fighting is taking place near the high-rise buildings in the city center.
"The enemy has advanced near Novomlynsk, Dalniy, Kostyantynivka, Rozdolne, Petrivka, and Kurakhove," the report states.
Analysts emphasized that the Defense Forces of Ukraine have now completed a cleanup operation in Kupiansk. The occupiers have been expelled from the city, which is currently fully under the control of the AFU.
Previously, the enemy concentrated all their efforts on capturing the Donetsk region, but now the Russians have redeployed several military units to Kharkiv. In the night of November 25, small groups of sabotage and reconnaissance units attempted to breach the border from the Belgorod region near Kozacha Lopan. The occupiers operated near the checkpoint "Hoptivka – Nehoteevka." However, the attempt proved futile. The enemy faced a setback and retreated.
Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have significantly reduced their subversive activities in Sumy. However, the enemy has not abandoned attempts to carry out diversions and cross the border. Nevertheless, the border service is thwarting such intentions, leaving the occupiers with no chance to achieve their goals.
Meanwhile, the occupiers have intensified their activities near Velyka Novosilka. Fighting is ongoing in the city, and analysts and military officials warn that losing this settlement could pose problems for the AFU as it may lead to a collapse of the front. Additionally, it would allow them to reach the administrative borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Earlier, Informator reported that the Russians continue their advance on the northern bank of the Kurakhiv Reservoir, having captured the village of Berestky and strategically important dams. The situation for the AFU in this area is extremely difficult.
