Dozens of enemy drones attack Kyiv daily. On November 7, debris from a drone fell on a high-rise building in the Pechersk district of the capital, causing a massive fire. Rescuers reported partial destruction of the building's structures, necessitating the evacuation of residents.
Late in the evening on November 24 and during the night of November 25, several series of explosions were heard. Air defense successfully repelled the drone attack. The Kyiv City Military Administration announced a fire in a residential building due to falling debris, but later acknowledged that this report was a mistake.
On the night of Sunday, November 24, 2024, the armed forces of Russia once again attacked Kyiv with unmanned aerial vehicles. However, the air defense forces shot down all the drones. This involved more than ten enemy aircraft that entered the airspace of the Ukrainian capital.
The "Shahed" attacks on Kyiv in October and November 2024 have changed: now the enemy launches them at an abnormally low altitude over residential buildings. Drones are attacking the capital in waves. Spokesperson for the Kyiv City Military Administration Mykhailo Shamanov explains that the change in tactics for attacks on Kyiv complicates the neutralization of the Shahed drones.
