Electricity consumption has decreased due to warming in most regions. Bad weather has caused power outages in 12 settlements in the Cherkasy and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, and emergency recovery work at energy facilities is ongoing. Power outage schedules are not being implemented. This was reported by Ukrenergo.
Electricity consumption on January 7 at 09:30 was 5.5% lower than the same time the previous day – on Monday. This is attributed to the rise in air temperature in most regions of Ukraine.
"On January 6, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 6.4% higher than the maximum of the previous working day – on Friday, January 3. This is due to the lower air temperature compared to the end of last week. The energy system continues to recover after thirteen massive missile and drone attacks by the Russians over the past year. Emergency recovery work at energy facilities is ongoing. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore damaged equipment and replace the equipment destroyed by the enemy as quickly as possible," emphasized Ukrenergo.
The situation in the energy system may change. Keep an eye on updates on the websites and official social media pages of your distribution system operator (oblenergo). Repair crews from the oblenergo are working to restore the networks. Power is planned to be restored to the disconnected subscribers within a few hours.
