"Ukrposhta" will charge fees from packages to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine: the amount has been revealed, according to a member of parliament (photo).

Member of Parliament Nina Yuzhanina states that "Ukrposhta" has made it mandatory to collect charitable contributions for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, the state operator could raise up to 50 million UAH within a year.

The state company "Ukrposhta" has introduced mandatory contributions that will be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by Member of Parliament and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial, Tax, and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina, on her Telegram channel.

The politician notes that an additional fee of 1 UAH will be charged for all parcels sent by customers, which will go to the "Kyiv School of Economics" fund to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The state company 'Ukrposhta' charges an additional 1 (one) hryvnia as a charitable contribution for the needs of the AFU to the Charity Fund 'Kyiv School of Economics' (code 35133288) when paying for parcel delivery services. It is impossible to refuse this — the charge has been integrated into the 'Ukrposhta' software," the MP writes.

According to Yuzhanina, this contribution is now mandatory and non-refundable. The MP estimates that with such deductions, "Ukrposhta" could raise around 50 million hryvnias, which corresponds to the approximate number of parcels sent during the year 2023.

We also reported that Ukraine will abolish customs benefits on international parcels. According to MP from the "Servant of the People" party, Daniil Getmantsev, lawmakers have not abandoned the idea of canceling customs privileges.
