During 2024, Ukraine imported goods worth $70.7 billion and exported goods worth $41.6 billion. This information is provided by the State Customs Service.
Compared to 2023, when the total trade volume was $99.4 billion, it has increased by 13%. The taxable import amounted to $57.4 billion, which represents 81% of the total volume of imported goods.

Among the goods imported in 2024, machinery, equipment, and transport accounted for $25 billion. During their customs clearance, 172.3 billion UAH was paid into the budget, which is 29% of customs revenue.
Chemical industry products amounted to $11.7 billion, with 87.7 billion UAH paid into the budget during their customs clearance. This constitutes 15% of the revenue.
Last year, fuel and energy materials were imported into the country for a total of $8.9 billion, with 157.6 billion UAH in payments made during customs clearance. Overall, this accounts for 27% of customs revenue.
From Ukraine, food products were exported worth $24.6 billion, metals and products made from them worth $4.4 billion, as well as machinery and equipment worth $3.5 billion. According to the agency, during the customs clearance of exports, a total of 311.3 million UAH was paid into the budget for goods subject to an export duty.
It is worth noting that in the first half of 2024 alone, Germany exported military goods worth over 7.5 billion euros. Of this, 65% of all German military exports this year were directed to Ukraine.
