Shooting at a hotel in Kyiv leaves one dead; authorities are searching for the suspect (photos, videos available).

In one of the hotels in Kyiv, located in the city center, a deadly shooting occurred. A 27-year-old man died from his injuries. This was reported by the Kyiv police.

The incident took place during the night of Saturday, November 23, as law enforcement officials stated. Around 1:00 AM, a conflict arose between two groups in the hotel premises, which later escalated into a fight. At one point, one of the individuals pulled out a weapon and fired several shots at his opponents.

"Due to the injuries sustained, the 27-year-old man died at the scene, and the victim's companion and the establishment's security guard were also injured. They were hospitalized in satisfactory condition," the Kyiv police reported.

One of the participants in the fight was detained by law enforcement, while the shooter remains at large. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under two articles of the Criminal Code:

• part 1 of article 115 — intentional murder;
• part 2 of article 296 — hooliganism.

The suspect could face up to 15 years in prison.

Shooting in the hotel: what is being said online

Law enforcement agencies did not disclose further details about the incident at the hotel; however, various local media outlets provided more information about the event and published footage from the scene.

According to data from the Telegram channel "Trukha Kyiv," the shooter is a man named Rashik, and the incident occurred at the Sky Loft hotel, located near the "Palace of Sports" station on Esplanadna Street.

In the Telegram channel "dtp.kiev.ua," it is claimed that the shooter is Dmitry Rashevsky, born in 1994, who may be originally from Dnipro. Ukrainians have been warned that he may be armed and dangerous. His photo has also been compared with images from the hotel.

The hotel's press service had not commented on the incident at the time of publication.

As a reminder, on November 15, it was reported that a representative of the "Municipal Guard" opened fire on a person near Kyiv. The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the "Municipal Guard" employee was struck by a man during notification activities conducted together with the TCC, and the representative of the DFTU chased after him and fired shots from a traumatic weapon.

Previously, blogger Nicholas Karma reported that during the filming of a video in Poltava, he was attacked by men, one of whom held a gun to his neck. One of the men was recognized as the head of the district TCC.
