Male citizens of Ukraine residing in Poland are receiving fraudulent letters demanding military service, threatening draft dodgers with legal consequences. This information is reported by the Office for Foreigners.
The letters, sent in the name of the office, emphasize the mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Individuals who refuse mobilization are allegedly threatened with legal repercussions, including arrest and extradition to Ukraine.
The agency highlights that it is not the source of such notifications.
As a reminder, in October 2024, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced that a "Ukrainian Legion" has been established in Poland, where anyone interested can enlist.
On December 23, Ukraine's ambassador to Poland, Vasily Bodnar, reported that the first unit of the "Ukrainian Legion" has already been dispatched to the war.
On November 30, Tik-Tok blogger Crawly was deported from Poland to Ukraine and banned from entering the Schengen area for 10 years due to his provocative streams. During one of his live broadcasts, he insulted Poles and stated that he would prefer to live in Moscow.
Following this, the blogger claimed that he filed five lawsuits against Poland in the EU's international court. According to him, the country violated laws by deporting him and attempting to "eliminate him in the war in Ukraine."
