Some of the items that passengers left behind in trains last year were so unexpected that they evoke surprise. This is reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
For instance, one passenger forgot a bucket of eggs in the carriage. Given the prices of this product, it turned out to be a truly painful loss for him, as noted by the transport company.
Among other interesting finds were a bow for shooting, a box with live butterflies, an electric meat grinder, a wet swimsuit in a bag, a live cat, a green dog jacket, a diamond cross with a chain, and a wallet containing $6000.
In total, last year passengers contacted the railway workers 17,218 times with requests to find items lost in trains or at stations. In 70% of cases, these items are found and returned to their owners.
However, to avoid such situations, "UZ" advises passengers to always check for valuable items, documents, wallets, jewelry, and similar belongings before exiting the train.
As a reminder, earlier "Ukrzaliznytsia" provided women with the opportunity to travel in special women-only carriages. However, entry into these carriages is prohibited for women traveling with children aged 6 and older.
