The UK government has frozen the assets of the far-right group Blood and Honour. Authorities suspect this organization of involvement in terrorist activities. The sanctions also prohibit anyone in the kingdom from providing financial services to the group.
The asset freeze applies to all aliases or affiliated groups, including Combat 18 and 28 Radio.
"Listing Blood and Honour as a 'blacklisted' organization sends a clear message that the UK is actively working to combat the financing of terrorism and will take action against those who attempt to exploit the financial system of the United Kingdom for such activities," stated the British government.
Law enforcement agencies in the country have previously warned about the rise of far-right extremism.
The neo-Nazi network Blood and Honour was founded in 1987 by Ian Stuart Donaldson, the vocalist of the skinhead band Skrewdriver, who died in a car accident in 1993. The name Blood and Honour is derived from a slogan of the Hitler Youth.
Over the past decade, the Home Office has banned or declared illegal six far-right groups. The first of these was National Action in December 2016. The list also includes Atomwaffen Division, Feuerkrieg Division, Sonnenkrieg Division, The Base, and the collective The Terrorgram.
