Ukrainian military personnel can purchase train tickets online. In the Army+ application, users can buy up to four tickets at a time from the special reserve for trains traveling to/from cities near the combat zone. Since the launch of the program, a total of 1,104 tickets have been sold. This information was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Tickets from the special reserve are available from 5 days to 6 hours before the train's departure from the starting station, once regular tickets are sold out. It is mandatory to send the purchased ticket to your own email or take a screenshot after buying it, as due to data protection, it will not be stored. For passenger convenience, all available seats for the desired routes are displayed during the search in the application. Additionally, the ticket booking service at https://services.uz.gov.ua/military continues to operate.
As of January 3, defenders have purchased 1,104 railway tickets from the special reserve through the military personnel support program Plus in the Army+ application. Just over a week after the launch of ticket sales through the Army+ application by Ukrzaliznytsia and the Ministry of Defense, 783 passengers have utilized the service, traveling to and from Ukrzaliznytsia trains.
The service is most frequently used close to the departure: 26% of tickets are bought one day before the train's departure, and 20% are purchased on the day of departure. 22% of tickets are bought two days prior to departure. The most popular routes by number of tickets purchased are, as expected, those leading to/from the largest frontline cities:
In total, since the service's launch, 14,000 users have accessed the application and tested the service, familiarizing themselves with its capabilities.
