A man is accused of committing petty hooliganism. He used obscene language and threatened physical violence against the employees of DTEK because they turned off the electricity in his apartment. This is stated in the ruling of the Obukhiv District Court of the Kyiv region, published on December 25, 2024.
On October 17, 2024, at approximately 09:30, the man, while in the entrance of building No. 47A on Tripilska Street in Obukhiv, behaved offensively towards the employees of PrJSC "DTEK", using obscene language and threats of physical violence, thus violating public order and the peace of citizens, which constituted an offense under Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. During the protocol preparation, the citizen partially acknowledged his guilt and signed the protocol.
At the court hearing, the man admitted his guilt. On October 17, 2024, he had a conflict with unknown individuals who turned off the electricity in his apartment, allegedly due to unpaid electricity bills. During the conversation, he stated that he had no outstanding debts. When the police arrived in response to the call, it became clear that the citizen had a conflict with the DTEK employees.
The court found the man guilty of committing an offense as stipulated in Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. The proceedings regarding his administrative liability under Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses were closed due to the insignificance of the administrative violation, with an oral warning being issued.
