The Russian Armed Forces launched a triple strike on Chernihiv, resulting in casualties and injuries (photos included).

On the afternoon of January 3, the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on Ukraine. At 16:18, the Air Force of Ukraine reported a threat of ballistic missile use from Kursk.

Just three minutes later, information about the first high-speed target in the Chernihiv region became known.

Consequences of the Attack

The head of the Chernihiv city military administration, Dmitry Brizhinsky, stated that a group missile strike had been carried out in the vicinity of the city.

He later clarified that two private homes were initially damaged. One civilian was injured.

The head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, reported that the enemy executed a triple missile strike on Chernihiv. Residential buildings were hit. One person died, and there are injured. Search and rescue operations are ongoing at the site.

Russian Armed Forces "Playing" with EW

Public figure Andrey Smoliy suggested that the Russian occupiers are "playing with electronic warfare." At the same time, he emphasized the need to take air raid alerts seriously, as "they might actually launch something," thus urging Ukrainians to stay in shelters.

On social media, citing monitoring groups, it was reported that targets were moving at speeds of 7500-8000 km/h in the western part of the country. It later became clear that alongside the launches of "Iskander-M"/Kn-23 missiles from Kursk, enemy electronic warfare assets were also at work.

Let us remind you that on the night of January 3, the regions of Ukraine were attacked by Russian "Shaheds". In the Kyiv region, a man was killed, and four others were injured.

Subsequently, the Air Force of Ukraine informed that the Russian Armed Forces launched over 90 drones at night, with 60 of them being shot down. In the Sumy region, a private house was damaged by debris, and in the Chernihiv region, hangars and trucks sustained damage.
