В 2025 году в Украине стартует программа "Ребенок не один" для выплат на детей. Узнайте, кто сможет получить финансовую помощь.

The Ukrainian government has introduced a new assistance program for children called "A Child Is Not Alone." Details were clarified on December 31 in NV.

Social Payments: Who Will Receive the New Assistance

Financial support will be provided to families who take in a child for temporary care before the child is granted orphan status or loses parental custody.

Until recently, such families did not receive any payments. This increased the risk of the child being placed in an institutional facility, as their care could become a heavy burden for relatives with limited income.

Social Payments: Amounts of Benefits

The support amounts are as follows:

  • for each child — 2.5 living wages;
  • for a child with a disability — 3.5 living wages.

Thus, in 2025, the payments will be as follows:

  • for a child under 6 years old — 6407.5 hryvnias; in case of disability status — 8970.5 hryvnias;
  • for a child aged 6 to 18 years — 7990 hryvnias; in case of disability status — 11,186 hryvnias.

Social Payments: How to Apply

An application for assistance can be submitted by the person who has taken in the child for temporary care. An important condition is that the family must reside permanently in Ukraine. If the care period is extended, the support period can also be prolonged.

Additionally, payments can be arranged by a representative of the foster family or a family-type children's home where the child is temporarily placed.

The corresponding application is submitted to the social protection authorities, CPAU, or the executive bodies of territorial communities.

This situation may arise if the parents or one of them:

  • has died or been killed (and the other is not fulfilling their duties);
  • is in occupation or encirclement;
  • is wanted or declared missing under special circumstances;
  • has been captured by the Russian Federation;
  • is deprived of freedom by the aggressor country, for example, detained or taken hostage.

Assistance is paid to the personal account in an authorized bank specified in the application. Funds can also be received at the post office at the place of residence.

We remind you that the National Bank has raised the dollar exchange rate to a new historical maximum of 42.40 hryvnias. The previous maximum was recorded on December 24.

NEURC has approved a new electricity tariff, and the cost of electricity will rise by 30% in 2025.
